PARIS, FRANCE PRIX DE LA PHOTOGRAPHIE PARIS (PX3) ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF PX3 2016 COMPETITION.
Juan Ignacio Cañete of Argentina was Awarded: Third Prize in category Fine Art and Honorable Mention in Landscape category for the entry entitled, "Rumi Sunqu" The jury selected PX3 2016’s winners from thousands of photography entries from over 85 countries.
The "Rumi Sunqu" (means "stone heart" in Quechua) series was developed in the Calchaqu valleys, Argentina. The magnificence of nature inspired me about the geometry (symmetry / asymmetry) and its interaction with light.
All my prints are limited, are signed, numbered and bear a hologram on the back of each work. They are accompanied by a certificate which is a high quality paper with fluorescent fibers security endowed with continuous numbering another hologram in the hologram coincides with the work. This method of Authenticity was designed to ensure the originality of works of art issued in limited series and avoid the risk of counterfeiting. Juan Cañete is a professional photographer specializing in Fine Art photography. His projects include travel photography, nature, urban landscape and architecture. Its clients focus on art collectors, multinational companies, architecture studies and graphic media. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His early fascination and appreciation for other cultures led him to travel around much of the world, this experience allowed him to live in many cities in Asia, Africa and Europe. Today he teaches Workshops and Master Classes throughout the country while continuing to develop his personal and commercial photographic projects.
